and the necessity of hiding in Pastoo*;
One must hide the soul in the Pastoo of the house…
An inner homesickness…
The absolute evanescence of art and culture
The buried light and awareness of “Don’t risk thoughtfulness”
Surrendered and inactive,
In the crypts of silence,
Silent and downhearted.
One must hide the light in the Pastoo of the house.

* In the traditional architecture of Iranian houses, where the rooms were multi-purpose and did not have settled furniture, some unnecessary items and supplies would be transferred to a small room called Pastoo which was devised at the back of other rooms.
Persian Expression:
Talking in Pastoo: Talking secretly in a way that the face and characteristics cannot be identified.
